There’s always something special about getting married on family property, especially when your parents own a farm as gorgeous as this one. Jenny and David held their wedding on Jenny’s parents’ farm in 2019 and we haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

Jenny and David’s wedding day was laid-back and full of love. Many of the elements of their day had been DIYed with the help of friends and family, and the heart that was put into each detail could be felt throughout. They started their morning getting ready together in the house, Jenny helping David with his hair and enjoying a quiet moment before guests started to arrive. When it was time to get dressed, Jenny headed upstairs to enjoy the special moment with her mom and toast the big celebration. As guests trickled in, David and Jenny snuck out for portraits in the golden hour light, and then it was time to celebrate!
The ceremony was held in front of the farmhouse, where rose bushes climbed up the trellis arch that served as their backdrop. After a heartfelt and beautiful ceremony, guests made their way to cocktail hour which included live musicians, hammocks, and a canoe full of drinks. Kids ran in the grass and danced to the fiddle while adults enjoyed craft beer and local wine. For dinner, guests headed around the house to an open field filled with rows of picnic tables before heading inside for dessert and dancing.
David and Jenny prioritized spending every moment of their wedding with their loved ones, allowing us to focus on telling the story of their day through photos rather than posing shots. Their love for each other was only compounded by their love for their friends and family, and their day was truly everything you could ask for in a wedding.
