When Covid-19 derailed their original wedding plans, Brianna and Idon decided to postpone their wedding. It was important to them that they were able to celebrate with all of their family and friends. So, over a year after their original date, their guests gathered at Union Market in Washington, DC, and had the party of a lifetime!

Brianna and Idon had a wedding day filled with fun, family, and iconic DC locations. They started their day with a first look at the gorgeous Eton Hotel – a great way to get more photos done before the ceremony and also to help get rid of those wedding-day jitters! We then headed off on a walk to some nearby murals for more portraits. I love that these two encouraged us to incorporate a ton of color and feature the best of the neighborhood that they love so much!
Back at Union Market, Idon and Brianna had a traditional Jewish ceremony and ketubah signing. This ceremony includes family members under the chuppah with the bride and groom; a beautiful way to unite two families. After the ceremony, guests headed outside to the covered patio while the indoor space was transformed for dinner.
Idon and Brianna’s reception had everything you could ask for – emotional speeches, a packed dance floor, and delicious food. From everyone dancing the Horah to the late-night pretzel & popcorn bar, guests were smiling from ear to ear all night. So many couples struggled to make a decision when Covid-19 eliminated any chance of a full-scale wedding in 2020, but waiting to have the big celebration of their dreams when it was safe for all of their loved ones to join them clearly paid off!
