2017 was a year of travel to new places, cultivating friendships, and deeply inspiring love. We started our season with a photo workshop in the forests of Tennessee to refuel our creativity. Then on to a surprise April Fool’s Day wedding at a pizza parlor, disguised as an engagement party. We hiked Angel’s Landing and The Narrows in Zion National Park, Utah with dear friends and met a llama (sans llama spit) while we were at it. A quirky summer wedding overlooking a shoreline took us to Seattle for a beer and pizza celebration at Seapine Brewing. There were beautiful sunrise engagement sessions—in Saratoga Springs, Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria, and more. A fall same-sex wedding officiated by one groom’s mother and supported by friends with the best dancing skills we’ve witnessed at a wedding yet. Moments that took us on many trail hikes, to DC marriage proposals, bride’s hands decorated with beautiful henna, and tearful first looks. It seriously had it all and we are so grateful to have photographed every aspect.
