We piled our things and our favorite pup Zoe into the car and drove through rainstorms to Lynchburg, Virginia. Staying overnight in an adorable rustic Airbnb, we talked about life to subside the nerves. Reminiscing about the many phases of it that we have witnessed together. (I have known Tori almost as long as I’ve known anyone else. She is the bonus big sister that came with the package of my best friend. (her real sister))
The next morning, with sleep eyes and foggy skies, we poked around dusty antique stores; daydreaming about future homes to fill with found treasures. Narrowly escaping the forecasted storms, we tiptoed through flooded fields, watched in amazement as deer leaped past, and found a sense of comfort in the wooden barn at Historic Riverview on the James.
