We first met Sarah and LeeAnne when LeeAnne was looking for proposal photos near their home in Washington, DC. Their surprise proposal was an absolute blast, and we immediately hit it off. When they began planning their wedding in Southampton, New York they asked us if we’d be willing to travel and we said of course! I’m so glad that we could be a part of this gorgeous day to celebrate these two.
Intimate Southampton Wedding
LeeAnne and Sarah’s wedding day was intimate, colorful, and most of all – incredibly fun. They chose to start the day by getting ready together and enjoying their morning with their entire wedding party. LeeAnne wore a gorgeous satin gown handmade by her mother, while Sarah had a custom white suit with the most incredible Gucci loafers. Their wedding party wore a variety of outfits in classic autumn tones that not only showed everyone’s personality, but also added a fun assortment of textures and silhouettes.
Both the ceremony and reception were held at Southampton Social Club, which is not only a gorgeous intimate venue, but also a restaurant with absolutely phenomenal food. The space was perfect on this beautiful fall day, with a lawn for the ceremony, a covered patio for cocktail hour, and an indoor dining room for dinner and dancing. And dance they did! Both LeeAnne and Sarah had a wardrobe change before hitting the dance floor with friends and family all night long.
Flying Point Beach
The morning after their wedding, running on almost no sleep, LeeAnne and Sarah arrived at Flying Point Beach at 6:45 a.m. for a sunrise session. This was LeeAnne’s idea – she had grown up visiting this beach with her family and she knew she wanted to do a session in the water wearing their wedding attire. LeeAnne and Sarah snuggled on the beach before jumping in for a swim, reflecting on the fact that they were starting a new chapter of life together. Although we were all absolutely exhausted, these photos are some of my favorites and I’m so glad we had the opportunity to capture this moment for them!
